On Monday, the Israeli navy attacked Palestinian fishing boats near the shore of Rafah, in the southern part of the besieged Gaza Strip, shot one fisherman, and abducted two.
Zakariya Bakr, the Palestinian Fishermen’s Syndicate coordinator, said the navy ships fired many live rounds at the Palestinian fishing boats west of the Rafah port.
Bakr added that the navy shot a fisherman, Hasan Miqdad, with a rubber-coated steel bullet and abducted two, Nafeth Ramadan Salah and Moneeb Mahmoud Ishkanitna.
The attacks are part of constant Israeli violations against the Palestinians, especially the fishermen, farmers, shepherds, and workers in the besieged and impoverished Gaza Strip, and resulted in dozens of casualties, including fatalities, in addition to severe property damage and the confiscation of many boats after abducting the fishermen.
